Objectives

The DfA@eInclusion Coordination Action aims to:

  • Support and manage the networking Activities (Objective 1)
  • Identify and analyse possible problems as well as opportunities for different user groups in relation to the evolution toward an information society for all, define possible solutions to the problems and likely exploitation of opportunities based on the DfA approach, make information available in a structured way by developing suitable dissemination material, making use of the project resources as well as the networking possibilities offered by EDeAN and its infrastructure (Objective 2)
  • Develop a knowledge base on DfA that will constitute a focal point for the European DfA community (Objective 3)
  • Create and provide new on-line services, consultation and training as well as enable knowledge transfer in the domains of eAccessibility, Design for All and eInclusion (Objective 4)
  • Extend the uptake of DfA within the ICT Industry in Europe (Objective 5)
  • Establish suitable criteria, structures and content for the creation of both online and off-line courses for Design for All for eInclusion for a wide range of stockholders, e.g. designers, business executives, user groups, undergraduates (modules) and postgraduates (MSc degree level) (Objective 6)
  • Increase awareness, dissemination and mainstreaming of DfA, aiming at a shift to a more strategic approach in public and private organisations (Objective 7)
